# Google Nest devices

> Connect supported Nest cameras, doorbells, and thermostats.

Use this connection for Nest devices supported by Google's Smart Device Management service.

  <Step title="Open the Nest card">
    Open **HA Link** in the Home Assistant sidebar and find **Google Nest devices**. Select **Set up**, or **Manage devices** if Nest is already connected.

  <Step title="Check support first">
    Open the official Nest guide below and check your device model. Google currently charges a one-time US\$5 Device Access registration fee.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Follow the guided setup">
    Home Assistant walks you through a Google Cloud project and a Device Access project. Use the official guide for the account and project settings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose your devices">
    Complete Google's authorization screens and allow the devices and features you want Home Assistant to access.

  <Step title="Refresh and open a device">
    Return to **HA Link** and select the refresh icon at the top (**Refresh connections**). Filter by **Google Nest devices**, then select an entity to view its available controls.
