Register an application when it needs to connect using OAuth. Registration gives it a client ID. Your API key needs apps:manage for every request on this page.

Try it

This example registers a public app. Replace the callback URL with your app’s own sign-in callback.

What you’ll see

The response includes id, clientId, name, type, redirectUris and scopes.
  • Public apps run on a phone or in a browser and do not have a client secret.
  • Confidential apps run on a trusted server. Set type to confidential; save the returned clientSecret privately because it is shown once.
The callback must match a registered URL exactly. Use HTTPS; HTTP is allowed only for a localhost callback. Wildcards and URL fragments are not supported.

Other requests

Changing an app’s callbacks or permissions, rotating its secret, or deleting it removes its previous OAuth access. Connect the app again afterward. Apps cannot request keys:manage or apps:manage. Give each app only the permissions it needs.
