1
Open the Nest card
Open HA Link in the Home Assistant sidebar and find Google Nest devices. Select Set up, or Manage devices if Nest is already connected.
2
Check support first
Open the official Nest guide below and check your device model. Google currently charges a one-time US$5 Device Access registration fee.
3
Follow the guided setup
Home Assistant walks you through a Google Cloud project and a Device Access project. Use the official guide for the account and project settings.
4
Choose your devices
Complete Google’s authorization screens and allow the devices and features you want Home Assistant to access.
5
Refresh and open a device
Return to HA Link and select the refresh icon at the top (Refresh connections). Filter by Google Nest devices, then select an entity to view its available controls.
Your authorized, supported Nest devices now have entities in Home Assistant.
